How do I launch my internet based bible study for young adults?

I am a young born again christian looking for a bible study that caters to the issues of the youth. I have been in a group but most members were much older than myself. My idea of having a internet based forum set up for young people to discuss current events and relate them to scripture. I am not sure though how exactly to go about creating the forum itself but I do have ways of marketing to church groups and online. However, it seems difficult to do everything myself, My friend says I should consider asking colleges for participation (the schools with faith based organizations). He made a good point about how there is a group of people who want something like this but didnt understand the online part of it. I may just put the whole thing on hold since I havent been able to find many young people interested in it. What should I do?

First of all if you want a Christian group that caters to young adults start with one of the known yahoo Christian groups to gather experience. These groups, to begin with, are usually supervised by their owners. But you can post your Christian messages on them directed to young people. Or you can find one that caters specifically to young people. Having your own personal website is a very slow way of reaching people, unless you have good connections. Most of the time, the people who see your messages do not respond.

My advise to you is to get a Yahoo group that is already current so that you can get the kind of experiece that you need When you have gotten the experience then you can branch off on your own. Warning: there are many responsed on discussion groups and people usually end up doctrinally confused. You want to evangelized for Christ, so find a group where you can state the WORD without dissent.

How do you do this? Join one of the Yahoo groups. Go to the top of the page which says “start your own group” click on it and it will give you directions. some groups are small with 35 members some are large like mine with over 11,000. That is phenominally large. If you can get a few hundred members to 1000 you are doing well .
